This training introduces speakers to two essential skills: problem-solving and consensus-building.

It teaches them the value of the healthy disagreements that make ideas better.

Speakers become familiar with the 6 steps used in our problem-solving model, working together on a team to put those steps to use to build consensus to solve a real-life problem.

Needed: one Student Facilitator for every 3-5 team members

Moderator and Student Facilitator training is done prior to the training sessions.

  • Parents may participate with their students free of charge.

Parents who participate will register with a $0 charge.

  • Fees include training for Student Facilitators.

Meet in Faith Presbyterian Fellowship Hall. Please bring a snack, water bottle, paper and pen or pencil.

ELIGIBILITY


Team Members

  • Students who have completed YSG 1 may participate.
  • Non-ICC members 14-18 years old
  • Adults may register with a participating student

 

Student Facilitators

  • Must be a Guild Inductee.
  • Preference given to Area Leadership Teams and Student Instructors who served in 2018 & 2019.
  • Uses ICCinc.org email to access training materials
  • Student Facilitators must commit to 1 hour of additional training to be completed by August 28 to serve in this role.
  • This Facilitator Training is an asynchronous, recorded training.
